ABOUT ME
I have completed Master’s Degree in Psychology (Jagiellonian University) and I am certified cognitive-behavioral therapist (PTTPB certificate number 1217). I was trained in cognitive-behavioral psychotherapy at the Ter-Cognitiva Center in Krakow (Center recommended by the Polish Society for Cognitive and Behavioral Therapy). I have also spent one year studying Psychology at Nottingham Trent University in Great Britain, where I studied secrets of sexology, evolutionary psychology, criminology and addictions (under the wings of Professor Mark Griffiths). I am a member of the Polish Society for Cognitive and Behavioral Therapy. I work under regular supervision and I constantly expand my professional competences.
Human beings are at the center of my interest, especially in the context of psychotherapy and personal development. I believe life is a way. The path to another people, the world, but most of all it is a journey into yourself. I find a reflection of these interests every day in psychotherapy as a profession, and in the way of looking at other people.
I gained my professional experience at Specialized Hospital named after Ludwik Rydygier in Krakow at the Closed Psychiatric Ward and at the Department of Neurology and Strokes. I also worked at Specialized Hospital named after dr. Józef Babiński SPZOZ in Krakow in a closed ward for people addicted to psychoactive substances with comorbid mental disorders (double diagnoses), and at the Day Care Ward in Nowa Huta, where I conducted group workshops on the regulation of emotions and emotional schemas (EST).
When working with a client, we are a team, and I attach great importance to our relationships. It is also very important for me to approach the reported difficulties individually in order to properly adjust the techniques and therapeutic interventions. While working with patients, I use classic CBT techniques, but also elements of the ‘third wave’ of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, i.e. J. Young’s Schema Therapy or Emotional Schema Therapy (EST) developed by R. Leahy.
* I am not working on addictions and Narcissistic Personality Disorder
